Mediterranean tradition with a vibrant character.
One of Spain’s most iconic natural stones is Red Alicante Marble, known for its vibrant, deep red color and white calcitic veins that naturally run through its surface.
This marble is quarried in the province of Alicante, as its name suggests, and is a symbol of Mediterranean tradition, strength, and elegance. It has been used in architectural projects around the world, providing a unique and enduring aesthetic that never goes out of style.
Red Alicante Marble Extra Grade presents a uniform red color with minimal veining. Its high color purity makes it the ideal marble for luxury interiors.
A Select Red Alicante offers a soft white veining with a homogeneous and elegant hue.
A more pronounced veining with visible chromatic variation characterizes Red Alicante Marble Commercial Grade, which is perfect for expressive surfaces.
The Veined Red Alicante Marble presents prominent white veins that create visual dynamism.
A final category would be the Light Red Alicante Marble, with a lighter reddish hue, being used in lighting projects.
Regardless of the typology, different finishes can be found. At COAVANTIA Stone, we offer the following:
Polished Alicante Red Marble has a mirror-like shine that enhances the red and its white veins. It is often used in noble interiors.
A Honed finish gives the eye an elegant matte finish that reduces contrast and conveys sobriety.
Brushed or Sandblasted Red Alicante Marble has a satin surface with a natural and modern effect.
Aged Red Alicante Marble is distinguished by its rustic texture, which gives it a classic or historical feel.
Finally, a rough, Bush-hammered finish with non-slip properties is perfect for outdoors.
Now you can purchase Red Alicante marble from our Online Store, simple and secure.
This majestic red and white marble can be used in a variety of ways:
Interiors, it’s used for high-impact visual flooring and wall coverings, in sink, bathroom, and fireplace countertops, in columns, staircases, baseboards, and moldings, and in decorative furniture, tables, and feature walls.
Its outdoor use can be directed to facades with an Asian or Mediterranean character, gardens, fountains or ornamental elements, public squares or high-traffic entrances (with non-slip finishes), and sculptures and artistic applications with heritage value.
This natural stone is extracted from the quarry in blocks. There’s not a standard size, they usually measure between 2’4 and 3 meters wide, 1’4 to 2 meters long and 1’5 meters deep, and they are always referred to in cubic meters, therefore, and based on the dimensions mentioned, their volume can vary between 4.5 and 7 cubic meters. Larger sizes are not extracted because they would be too heavy for proper transport in a container.
Our Red Alicante tiles are available in a variety of standard sizes and thicknesses, ideal for flooring and wall cladding. The tiles are highly versatile and can be used for residential, commercial, and large-scale projects. In Coavantia Stone we reinforce the tiles with a mesh backing to ensure durability, easier handling, and safe installation.
For shipping, tiles are packed in pallets or cardboard boxes placed inside export crates to guarantee they arrive in perfect condition.
All pieces can be produced according to the dimensions requested, ensuring a perfect fit for any project.
In Coavantia Stone we manufacture different types of special pieces adapted to the needs of each project, which include:
