It originates from Spain and is synonymous with sobriety, timelessness, and sophistication, blending seamlessly into classic, contemporary, or minimalist design environments.

TYPES of Dark Emperador

Extra Dark Emperador Marble displays a uniform brown background with very fine, well-distributed veins, highlighting its high quality for luxury interiors.

Another available option is Select Dark Emperador Marble, which has more pronounced veining but a balanced aesthetic and is often used in corporate and commercial spaces.

Commercial Dark Emperador Marble has a more visible veining and is considered ideal for large surfaces where the goal is to achieve a natural and distinctive appearance.

If its tone tends towards a lighter brown, we are talking about Light Dark Emperador Marble, perfect for combining with more neutral or warm materials.

Finally, the Veined Dark Emperador Marble, as its name suggests, presents intense veining with a rich visual texture, ideal for spaces with character.

A Polished Dark Emperador Marble provides an intense shine that enhances the contrast between the dark background and its light veins.

The Honed finish is distinguished by its velvety matte finish that softens contrast and provides understated elegance.

A rough finish that recreates the passage of time and is ideal for rustic or vintage environments is the Aged finish.

Brushed Dark Emperador Marble has a smooth, satin-like texture and is widely used in hotels and boutiques.

We define a Bush-hammered finish as one that has a non-slip surface, which is perfect for outdoor or wet areas.

More information

Blocks

This natural stone is extracted from the quarry in blocks. There’s not a standard size, they usually measure between 2’4 and 3 meters wide, 1’4 to 2 meters long and 1’5 meters deep, and they are always referred to in cubic meters, therefore, and based on the dimensions mentioned, their volume can vary between 4.5 and 7 cubic meters. Larger sizes are not extracted because they would be too heavy for proper transport in a container.

Slabs

Slabs are the result of introducing Dark Emperador blocks in the factory. We can obtein slabs with the same height and length, with any desired thickness. After, any desired finish can be applied. Standard slabs are generally around 4 m².

Tiles

Our Dark Emperador tiles are available in a variety of standard sizes and thicknesses, ideal for flooring and wall cladding. The tiles are highly versatile and can be used for residential, commercial, and large-scale projects. In Coavantia Stone we reinforce the tiles with a mesh backing to ensure durability, easier handling, and safe installation.

For shipping, tiles are packed in pallets or cardboard boxes placed inside export crates to guarantee they arrive in perfect condition.

All pieces can be produced according to the dimensions requested, ensuring a perfect fit for any project.
